Before you connect
Does my SQL Server need a public IP?
No. The local Bridge initiates an outbound HTTPS connection. The SQL Server itself need not accept public inbound connections.
Can one computer connect multiple client databases?
Yes. Bestow Bridge supports multiple database profiles on the same Windows computer, with separate workspace mapping and permissions.
Can I connect different AI applications?
Supported HTTPS MCP/OAuth clients can request read-only access. Each user must explicitly authorize the exact AI application connection.
Can an AI application change my data?
The public AI connector in this release is read-only. Local Windows Bridge permissions do not automatically grant remote AI write access.
